Short Bio

Plein air and studio painter. Retired middle school English teacher. I took up painting to keep me sane. I think it worked.

Statement

I paint because I never thought I could.  But I always loved color and when I found out oil paint could be colorful, I was hooked on it.  I especially love the Russian Impressionists...their color...their brushwork.  I want to be just like them when I grow up.  Someday I'm going to learn watercolor, but so far I'm just a dabbler in that.  I've got a lot of work ahead...
